QuantML abstract syntax

The abstract syntax is a formalization in set-theoretical terms of the metamodel. It provides a theoretical basis for specifying various alternative representation format (by means of an alternative concrete syntax), and for providing a semantic interpretation of annotation structures independent of the representation format.

Annotation structures consist of two types of substructure:

The basic components of entity structures and link structures are instances of the concepts that make up the metamodel. The store of these concepts is called the 'conceptual inventory'. The following concepts make up the QuantML conceptual inventory.
